i refuse to believe that christmas is over. i still want that feeling.....you know..... that feeling that everyone loves each other. that feeling of generosity in the air. i love driving by the big Salvation Army tree and seeing how much money they raised this year.

what will next year be like? Ethan will be almost 1 1/2 and i will have a niece that will be 9 months.

will my grandma be here? mentally? physically?

it was weird not having great grandma Bess here for christmas. i'm pretty sure i just cried the whole time. i miss her. but she is whole now. and with her Jesus.

so a lot of things have changed since the last time on this thing. i got married almost 6 months ago. it has been so much fun. i love living with my best friend. i love hanging out together. having silly inside jokes. watching strange movies. having a routine even though it's really laid back. i love that he does something around the house everyday before i get home. and i like doing it for him. i just love being around him.

i also went to africa for almost a month. that was... i can't even describe it. every word that i think of to explain it is not good enough. i guess ... life changing. the way i look at things is different. i noticed i do things different now. and i miss being there. we stayed at an orphanage and played with kids. and i love everyone of them. the are so creative and hilarious. one night there was this kid tom who put on an impromptu one man show for us using no words just sound effects. it was so funny.

i wish i could tell you and make you somehow experience a little bit of mozambique. but i can't. 

i'm still on africa time so it's almost 2pm. so i should go have some lunch. but more to come.

ps- 18 hour flights suck!  :: i just slept for 12 hours. the only good sleep in 3 days::

i'm getting married soon. it's kind of weird. still don't fully know what i'm getting into. and that's ok with me. i like what i know so far. and god will take care of the rest. i know it's going to be hard. and i strangly look forward to it. mainly because i know that no matter what happens, we are on the same team. and we will be that much stronger.
